Our city is known worldwide for its palaces, gardens and many other unique features. But it would take a very long time to try to see all the sights on foot.

Our Tip for You:

Use our buses and trains to familiarize yourself with the city’s most beautiful locations just by looking out the window. Scheduled departures leave every 20 minutes or less. With Potsdam explorers in mind, we have created five special lines for tourists, along which the world-renowned palaces, gardens, parks and sights can be reached quickly. All these lines have well-known names, so you will immediately know where the journey is headed.

We have created five lines in Potsdam’s local public transportation system, especially for visitors. On these routes, you can quickly and easily reach Potsdam’s world-renowned palaces, gardens, parks and special attractions.

All lines go through the Hauptbahnhof Potsdam (Central Station), scheduled at twenty-minute intervals or less during the day.

24-Hour Tickets ‒Validity:

• 24-hour period from the time of validation (date stamp or overprint)
• Includes up to 3 children between the ages of 6 and 14 (children under 6 ride free; please be advised that this offer does not apply to the 24-Hour Small Group Ticket!)

24-Hour Small Group Ticket ‒Validity:

• Includes a maximum of 5 people
• 24-hour period from the time of validation (date stamp or overprint)

4-Trip Tickets

• In Potsdam: Individual, single tickets for four one-way trips, each ticket is valid for 60 minutes travelling in one direction; short-trip tickets for four one-way trips are valid for four stops or stations.
• In Berlin: Individual, single tickets for 4 one-way trips, each ticket is valid for 120 minutes travelling in one direction; short-trip tickets for three stations travelling by S-Bahn and/or U-Bahn, or six stops on a tram or bus, valid for one person.

Who is eligible for a reduced fare?

• Children aged 6 to 14; children under 6 ride free
• Dogs

Individual tickets and monthly passes are sold via ticket machines in buses and trams, at our customer service centres and service agencies, or through the VBB App .
